Certified FEED transport in accordance with the GMP+ standard
As of March 1, 2021, the new GMP+ Feed Certification scheme 2020 was implemented, which includes our company’s current GMP+ FSA module. The new guidelines replace the former standards B1 to B4, i.e. the previously applicable GMP+ B4 (Transport).
GMP+ FSA is an international feed safety assurance system covering the entire supply chain (production, trade, storage, handling and transport) and based on the HACCP approach.
The scope of the „Road transport of feed” certification covers all activities enabling the transport of feed (planning, purchasing, maintenance, washing/cleaning, administration, etc.).

Who requires GMP+ shipments?
In practice, the scheme operates in a “chain” logic: GMP+ certified companies cooperate with other certified entities (or those recognized equivalently), and the status of the partners is verified in the public GMP+ database.
For many large feed recipients, certification is a prerequisite for cooperation, therefore, to meet market requirements, TABUN has implemented GMP+ FSA certification, which includes:
What does transport certification ensure?
Cleanliness and suitability of the vehicle/cargo compartment
Before loading, it must be clean, dry (if required), free of foreign odors and residues; an inspection of the cargo compartment and presentation of the relevant cleanliness certificates is mandatory.
HACCP risk management
It is adapted to the specific nature of the transport (route, type of feed, previous loads, routes, subcontractors).
Load and cleaning compliance
Ensured by the IDTF (International Database for Transport of Feed), which specifies minimum cleaning regimes for previous loads and feed compatibility.
Independent audits
Audits conducted by certification bodies recognized by GMP+ International.

What products and substances are transported with GMP+?
GMP+ certified transport covers a wide range of products used in animal nutrition. This system encompasses liquids, bulk, and packaged cargo. These include:
- Liquid substances: molasses, sugar solutions, glycerine, feed oils and fats, fatty acids, liquid feed additives,
- Loose/packaged loads: cereals, meal/bran, mineral and vitamin mixtures, premixes, granulates, complete feed mixtures.
